200004039, Danny Smith, B/M, 05/17/00, 1308 Walter Willow Dr, DeLand- Poss. of Schedule II (Bivone)
Deputies responded to the Budget Inn in reference to a fight. V1 advised he was in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, W1, and an unknown Hispanic male intervened. V1 stated the subject punched him in the face and as V1 went to retaliate, the subject pulled a black firearm from his pocket and pointed it at him, then fled the area. W1 advised she also witnessed the incident, but observed a different-colored handgun and never witnessed it pointed at anyone. W2, the security guard, also advised he was separating the two during the fight, but didn't see a firearm. A canvass for the subject and additional witnesses yielded negative results. V1 wished to pursue charges. The W/C was on scene. Case active.
While on pro-active patrol, Deputy Bivone came into contact with V1, an adult who was entered as missing in FCIC/NCIC by the DeLand PD (DL 20-1030). DeLand PD responded and took over the case / removed V1 as missing.
200003866- Malisa D Coyle W/F 1-25-83, Transient. Pass-on affidavit for violation of an injunction (Deputy Blum).
V1 advised that an unknown customer came into the store and began flirting with her, making her uneasy. The advances were not welcomed and as V1 was exiting the store, S1 followed her and grabbed her by her forearm. Another customer was pulling up as this occurred so S1 immediately let go, got into his vehicle and left. Case is active.
V1 advised S1 took her out for drinks to discuss a potential job opportunity. S1 agreed to drive V1 home but instead of heading to her house, drove her to a remote subdivision somewhere in Orange City. Once parked, S1 got out of the car, walked around it and opened the passenger side door where V1 was sitting. He then asked how much money it would take for her to have sex with him. She refused the offer and S1 drove her home without further incident. Case is active.
V1 called to advise that unknown person(s) stole his firearm from his unlocked truck sometime between 2100 hours on 2/18 and 1000 hours today. The weapon was kept in the driver's side door panel. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else of value was taken or tampered with. The weapon was entered into N/FCIC as stolen.
Case is active.
