Deputy Skrzypinski was dispatched to a fight. Deputy Skrzypinski made contact with (V1), who advised he was attacked unprovoked by D1. V1 advised when he went into the residence and walked past a bedroom, D1 emerged from the bedroom and began striking him on the face and chest with a closed fist. V1 refused rescue. D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ.
Deputy Omelia responded to 108 N Center Street, Pierson, Florida (Dollar General) in reference to a simple battery that had just occurred. V1 reported he was confronted by S1 in the parking lot of the above business. They got into a verbal altercation over a previous incident. During the altercation, S1 slapped V1 in the face. An affidavit was completed for simple battery. V1 refused medical treatment.
Deputies responded to the above location regarding a disturbance. V1 reported she got into an altercation regarding the use of a vehicle. V1 reported her mother D1 initiated the altercation and battered her. V1 had a small laceration but refused treatment. D1 was transported to VCBJ. Due to a child being on scene, DCF was notified.
Deputy Stoltz was dispatched and responded to Pep Boys (V1) tire shop at 2835 S Woodland Blvd., DeLand, in reference to a burglary. V1 said two unknown males pulled a truck and trailer to the back of the property. The suspects stole approximately 20 used tires. Deputy Stoltz provided V1 a VCSO business card and case number.

V1 reported she had been arguing with her live-in boyfriend S1 during the day. V1 advised she was on her computer, ignoring S1, when he became enraged. S1 knocked the computer on the ground and struck V1 several times. S1 then began to choke V1. V1 was able to free herself then grabbed a knife to protect herself. S1 fled prior to deputies' arrival. A charging affidavit was prepared and left in the pass-on box for day shift. V1 had several minor visible injuries.
V1 reported he was watching his security cameras when he observed D1 entering an unlocked vehicle, which was for sale on the property. D1 then began to vandalize several vehicles, which was also captured on video. D1 proceeded to the side of the building and entered another unlocked vehicle at which time he ripped the radio out of the dash. D1 was taken into custody. While Deputy James was completing his paperwork, D1 spit on Deputy James. D1 was additionally charged with battery (LEO).

Deputy Omelia responded to 180 Echo St, Pierson, in reference to a Burglary. Upon arrival, Deputy Omelia made contact with (V1) who advised on Feb.18, 2019, at approximately 1545 hours, he left his detached garage which is easily accessible with three inexpensive power tools on the work bench. V1 stated on Feb. 19, 2019, at approximately 0845 hours, he discovered the power tools missing from the work bench. This case is still active to Deputy Omelia for further investigations.
Deputy Ferrari responded to 219 W Howry Ave, DeLand, in reference to a fraud. Upon arrival, Deputy Ferrari made contact with (V1) who advised on Feb. 16, 2019, she received a telephone call from an employee who identified himself as being with Microsoft. V1 advised the employee stated her computer needed work. During the conversation, the employee scanned her computer and advised she was entitled to $500 her troubles. The employee advised he needed to deposit $4,000 into her account and needed $1,500.00 back from her account. During the conversation, V1 was instructed to put money on several Gamestop cards, which were purchased at the local Winn-Dixie and Dollar stores.

Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference to a physical disturbance. While deputies conducted the investigation. D1 refused to stay seated, was yelling and began aggressively walking toward one of the witnesses. Sergeant Stewart put his hand up to prevent D1 from getting closer to one of the witnesses, at which time D1 struck Sergeant Stewart's hand. D1 was taken into custody for battery on a law enforcement officer.
D1-Rita Lopez-Paulino W/F 07/13/1979 266 Circle Dr., Del
Deputy Cue responded to the above LOI in reference to a burglary to a residence with a 10-day time lapse. V1 advised that sometime between 02/8 and 02/18, unknown suspect(s) entered her garage through an unlocked door and stole the following items: Husqvarna chain saw 14-in bar 120-38-cc 2 cycle ($179.00) and a Black and Decker electric pole chainsaw (pole was left behind) ($150.00).
Deputies responded to a reported battery. Contact was made with V1, who advised that she and S1 have a child in common, and resided together for a short period of time. V1 advised 5 days prior, she and S1 were in an argument which turned physical when S1 struck her and choked her. V1 had injuries consistent with her statement. S1 then moved back to Mississippi. A SA707 was completed on S1, charging felony battery by strangulation (DV) and simple battery (DV). A copy of the 707 will be submitted to CID to review for an arrest warrant since S1 moved out of state.
Deputies responded to the District II office in reference to a report of a sex offense that had been occurring over the last four years, including within recent months. R1 reported that when V1 was a juvenile, S1, a known suspect, sexually abused the victim. A copy of this report was forwarded to CID.

Deputy Campbell responded to OB's lounge at 1750 N Woodland Blvd, DeLand, in reference to a physical altercation. Upon arrival, Deputy Campbell made contact with (O1) who advised he was utilizing the restroom at the same time as (O2). O1 advised O2 was provoking him and O2 tried to punch him in the face with a closed fist but missed. During the investigation, it was determined there were conflicting statements and an incident report was documented for informational purposes. This case is closed.

Deputy Ferrari responded to 440 Sunshine Ct, DeLand, in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Ferrari made contact with (V1) who advised on Feb.12, 2019, he was unable to bring his vehicle home due to being admitted into the hospital. V1 said he asked someone he knew to take his vehicle home while he was in the hospital. V1 offered S1 a room to stay and continue to use the vehicle. V1 said S1 refused to return the vehicle and continued to evade V1 when asked to return the vehicle. On Monday, Feb. 18, at approximately 1130 hours, V1 received a phone call from a car dealership employee who advised V1 his car was located on their lot with the keys inside of it. V1 learned from the employee that there was no property inside the vehicle. V1 advised he discovered numerous power tools missing from the interior of the vehicle. This case is still active to Deputy Ferrari for additional follow-ups.
Deputy Kretzer responded to a domestic disturbance in Pierson. Upon arrival, Deputy Kretzer made contact with (V1) who advised she got into a verbal argument with (D1). V1 said the argument escalated into a physical altercation when D1 punched her in the lip with a closed fist. During the investigation, it was determined D1 was the primary aggressor during the altercation and was placed under arrest for simple battery. D1 was transported to the VCBJ for booking without incident.
Sergeant Edgecomb responded to 636 W Mathis St, DeLand, in reference to a larceny car break. Upon arrival, Sergeant Edgecomb made contact with (V1) who advised on Feb. 18, 2019, at approximately 0630 hours, she left her vehicle, a 2010 black Nissan, parked in the driveway of 636 W Mathis St, DeLand. V1 said on Feb.18 at approximately 0910 hours, she exited the residence and discovered the driver's side window was smashed out and the following items missing: 1- brown Michael Kors purse containing ID cards, several bank cards and a Walmart credit card. This case is still active.

Three juvenile girls reside at a girls' group home in DeLand. All three girls admitted to taking the sleep aid "Unisom" in an attempt to "get high". When undesired effects took over, the girls contacted the group home parent, Kenya Powell, who summoned rescue. All three were transported for evaluation and stated they only wanted to "get high" and did not intend to overdose, nor did they wish to harm themselves.
Deputies responded to Dixon's Towing to the report of a car break that had just occurred. The victim, (V1), stated he observed an unknown male attempting to remove a battery from one of the vehicles outside the secure fencing. V1 yelled at the male who fled on a bicycle northbound on South Clara Ave. Sgt.. Shephard conducted an investigative stop of a male matching the description at S. Florida Av. and Carroll Ave. During a pat down, narcotics were located and D1 was subsequently arrested. A search of his backpack revealed what appeared to be burglary tools (hammer, channel lock pliers and a light). A request will be forwarded to day shift to follow up.

190003754, Jose Lopez Magadan H/M 03/07/82 (No DL) 146 S Center St, Pierson
Deputies responded to the area of Poinsettia Dr. and N. Woodland Blvd for multiple reports of a woman screaming for help. (V1), had scaled the fence to the DeLand water treatment facility and scaled to the top of the holding tank. During conversation, it was apparent that V1 was under the influence or in need of mental health services. After a lengthy wait, V1 made her way down and was taken into custody under protection of the Baker Act.
Deputy Berriozabal responded to the Deland Police Department in reference to recovery of a missing juvenile, V1, who was found to be in good health. During the recovery process, V1 advised he was battered by his father on 02/15/19 and reported the incident to his counselor at school, who then notified DCF. None of the preceding information was able to be verified. Deputy Berriozabal contacted V1's father and stepmother to conduct a criminal investigation. Due to conflicting accounts and lack of independent witnesses, V1's story was unable to be corroborated and the report was documented in VCSO Case #19-3748.
Deputy Skrzypinski responded to a domestic disturbance. V1 reported her sister punched her in the face several times, causing minor injuries. S1 fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. S1 was not located. DV affidavit was completed. V1 refused medical treatment.
On 02/16/2019 at approximately 1129 hours, District Two deputies responded to East New York Ave and S. Spring Garden Rd. to assist the Deland Police Department for a robbery call at the TD Bank within the city limits of DeLand. Deputy Hector Rodriguez was instructed by Sergeant Grunder to go to Whitehair Bridge at the Volusia and Lake counties line. Due to the lack of a suspect's vehicle description, Deputy Rodriguez requested permission from Sergeant Grunder to stop traffic at the bridge. Sergeant Grunder approved Deputy Rodriguez stopping all traffic on West New York Ave. As Deputy Rodriguez was passing the westbound traffic, he noticed a purple Ford F150 pickup truck with a driver who appeared to be nervous. Deputy Rodriguez safely stopped all traffic just before the Whitehair Bridge. After exiting his patrol vehicle, he radioed to other responding units to check the truck he felt was suspicious. Sergeant Wingard, Deputy Weaver and Deland Police officers contacted and identified the driver as the suspect of the robbery and took him into custody. Sergeant Grunder is completing the Use of Force blue team report.
Deputy Skrzypinski responded to the above location regarding a stolen bicycle. R1 stated her grandson's, V1 teal colored tricycle was stolen by an unknown person. R1 advised the tricycle was parked in the driveway of the residence on 02/15/2019 at approximately 1700 hours. She advised when she woke up on 02/16/2019 at approximately 0900 hours, she observed the bicycle missing. She completed a sworn written statement on behalf of V1 due to V1 suffering from a disability. They advised they wished to pursue criminal charges. R1 advised she will contact the VCSO when she obtains the serial number for the tricycle.
Deputy Long responded to the above location regarding a disturbance. V1 reported his brother stole two skateboards while fleeing the residence. One of the skateboards was recovered after a second disturbance occurred at the residence between V1 and his brother. R1 reported he witnessed the theft. An affidavit was completed.

Deputies responded to the location for a civil issue. During the investigation, it was determined that D1 battered V1 (5 years old) by picking him up by the neck and throwing him onto a bed. V1 received scratches, bruising and redness from the incident. R1 advised that approximately one week ago, D1 slapped V1 with an open hand on the face, hard enough to leave a hand print. R1 also alleged that over a week ago, D1 bit V1 on the buttocks, though she did not witness this. D1 was placed under arrest for Child Abuse (DV). A copy of this report was forwarded to DCF for review. Additionally a copy of this report was sent to CID as information, in the event DCF does a CPT with the victim. D1 was transported without incident.
***DeLand Case #19-1225***
Deputy Eisen was patrolling in the 1600 block of N. Woodland Bl., Deland, when he was flagged down and advised that one or two subjects was currently burglarizing cars at Richard's Towing, 111 Old Daytona Rd. Deputies and DeLand officers responded to the area in an attempt to locate the suspects. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy James observed D1 attempting to conceal himself between two vehicles. Deputy James announced his presence at which time D1 fled on foot. Air-One was requested and responded. DeLand PD advised they had burglary charges at which time K9 was deployed to assist. Air-One located a subject hiding in the woods and relayed the information. Due to the homeless population in that wooded area, two deputies made contact with the male, D1, who was concealing himself underneath thick brush. D1 was taken into custody without incident and turned over to DeLand PD. D1 was charged with resisting arrest without violence by deputies.

Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference to a retail theft where D1 was already in custody. Investigation resulted in the arrest of D1 after she attempted to steal $71 worth of merchandise, but was caught by loss prevention before she left the scene. All items were turned back over to Walmart. D1 was released with a Notice to Appear.

Deputy Stubblefield responded to 955 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand, in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival, Deputy Stubblefield made contact with (V1), who advised on Feb. 13, 2019, at approximately 2324 hours, while she was working inside the store, her black backpack with Super Mario designs was removed from the break room. V1 stated the following items were inside the backpack: Skull candy headphones, iPhone charger, FL-DL, two bottles of prescription medication. This case is still active.
Deputy Stubblefield responded to 955 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand, in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival, Deputy Stubblefield made contact with (V1) who advised on Feb. 12, 2019, at approximately 1700 hours, she was shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Market and possibly left her wallet containing her debit card at a register. V1 advised on Feb. 13, she went into her purse and discovered her wallet missing from inside. V1 stated she checked her bank account and discovered two separate transactions were made with her debit card at the Walmart Neighborhood Market. This case is still active to patrol.
Deputy Ferrari responded to 4470 SR 11, Deleon Springs, in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Deputy Ferrari made contact with (V1) , who advised on Feb. 14, 2019, at approximately 0100 hours, he left his black and white Chinese dirt bike in his open carport. V1 stated at approximately 0830 hours, he discovered the dirt bike missing from the carport. This case is still active.

Deputy Campbell responded to the intersection of Spring Garden Ranch / Catalonia Ave, Deleon Springs, in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the woodline. Deputy Campbell observed a blue in colored Kia passenger car bearing Florida tag (JB24E). A FCIC/NCIC check reveled the vehicle was stolen out of VCSO. The vehicle was locked and there was no sign of the vehicle keys. A neighborhood canvass check was conducted which yielded negative results. The vehicle was removed from FCIC/NCIC as stolen by VCSO operator #8128. The vehicle was towed to C&S towing.

Deputy Rodriguez responded to the district 2 office located 1706 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand, in reference to a battery complaint. DCF made contact with Deputy Rodriguez in reference to (V1) who was slapped by her daughter in-law (S1) who is married to V1's son. During the investigation, it was determined (S1) was the primary aggressor during the altercation. Deputy Rodriguez was unable to locate (S1) at this time. Deputy Rodriguez completed a 707 Affidavit for (S1) and placed it in the district 2 pass along box for the oncoming shifts.
Deputy Goggin responded to 1411 Bent Oaks Blvd, DeLand, in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival, Deputy Goggin made contact with (V1) who advised the following. V1 stated he last seen his Jetskis on February 03, 2019, at the Personal Mini-Storage located at 1490 S SR 15A, DeLand. Deputy Goggin made contact with Detective Ruiz via telephone who provided the following information: Lake County Sheriff's Office located a Florida trailer tag (0730RU) belonging to V1 attached to a stolen vehicle in their jurisdiction. The tag was recovered by Lake County Sheriff's Office and Detective Ruiz was made aware. Detective Ruiz was able to determine that the following property belonging to V1 had been stolen from 1490 S SR 15A, Deland (Personal Mini Storage)

Deputy Coker responded to 1495 N US HWY 17, Seville, in reference to a stolen trailer. Upon arrival, Deputy Coker made contact with (R1) who advised the following. Walters stated on January 25, 2019, a representative with U-Haul conducted an inventory and discovered a gray and white car trailer with a orange and black stickers on it missing from the lot. Walters stated at this time he believed the trailer to be approximately 7ft wide and 18ft long. Due to the rural part of the area, a neighborhood canvass check was not conducted. Deputy Coker made contact with VCSO records operator #8128 who entered the trailer into FCIC/NCIC as stolen. Deputy Coker requested operator #8128 to issue a BOLO for the vehicle trailer. This case is still active.

**Stolen vehicle recovered-Brown 2008 Chevrolet 2500 truck VIN 1GCHK29688E148508/no tag**
Deputy Bivone was conducting an extra patrol in the above area, when he observed the above pick-up truck parked behind a vacant building, with the doors open and no tag. A check of the VIN revealed the vehicle was stolen out of the County area of Orange City on 11/25/2018. The vehicle was towed from the scene and it was removed from FCIC/NCIC as stolen. A copy of the supplement will be sent to SWDU for follow up.

Deputy Bivone was patrolling in the above location and located the above vehicle, which had been stripped and abandoned. A check of the tag revealed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Edgewater on 02/04/19. The vehicle was towed from the scene and removed from FCIC/NCIC as stolen.
190003384- CST assisted patrol with searching for a missing elderly female with Alzheimer's. She was later located near the residence.
190003402- CST assisted DeLand PD with a bomb threat at the Dunkin Donuts off Woodland in South DeLand. Air and VCSO bomb K9's responded and the building was cleared.

V1 advised he parked his red 2003 Nissan Titan pick up truck bearing FL tag 678RCS in his driveway on 02/11/2019 at approximately 2000 hours. V1 advised he left the vehicle unsecured with his Stihl back pack leaf blower (SN: 509199482) and a Red Milwaukee battery powered impact driver inside of the vehicle. When he got back into the vehicle on 02/12/2019 at approximately 0922 hours, he observed the two items missing. V1 stated the rest of the vehicle appeared untouched. V1 advised the blower was worth $419.95 dollars, and the impact driver was valued at approximately $200-$300 dollars. Photgraphs were taken. The blower was entered into FCIC/NCIC.

Deputy Long responded to the above business regarding a theft of chainsaws. R1 reported they received a call from Altamonte Springs PD regarding chainsaws they recovered during one of their cases. The chainsaws were stolen from the above store on Feb 6th 2019. The saws were recovered by Altamonte PD and returned to the victim. Value of the saws $700. A suspect was taken into custody by Altamonte PD. Dist 2 CID was made aware of this case.

Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with S1 at the 100 block of W. Retta St. While speaking with S1, V1 came up and began a verbal argument. At that point S1 fled the scene on foot. A perimeter was established but Deputies were unable to locate S1. Further investigation revealed that S1 and V1 were in a verbal altercation, at which point S1 threw a piece of concrete, striking V1 in the arm. V1 then left and went to W1's residence at Spring Waters Inn. S1 went to that location, knocked on the door and entered the room without permission. Once inside S1 slapped V1 in the face, which was witnessed by W1. V1 did not sustain any injuries during the incident. Air one was unable to fly due to the weather. Due to the initial changing circumstances of what occurred, the decision was made not to deploy a K9. All attempts to locate S1 were met with negative results. A SA707 pass on was completed and placed at D2 charging S1 with burglary with a battery, aggravated battery, RAWOV and providing a false name.
Deputy Sweeley responded to the above LOI in reference to a shoplifting. R1 advised that today around 1715 hours, an unknown white male walked into the business and stole (4) Tide pods valued at $71.80. S1 then left the store on foot. No further info at this time.
Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference to a shoplifting. Contact was made with R1 who advised that D1 (17 yoa) was detained after he attempted to steal approximately $20 of alcohol. Deputies made contact with DJJ and Ms. Quann who advised D1 was eligible for a civil citation. D1 was given a juvenile civil citation for the theft and turned over to O1, his mother.

On February 9, 2019, at 1231 hours Deputy Ferrari responded to 106 Horseshoe Bend, DeLeon Springs, for a vehicle burglary. Deputy Ferrari contacted the victim, Anne Hunter (V1), who reported the following: Hunter and her family went out to dinner the night prior. They returned home at approximately 2130 hours and left her blue 2004 Ford Expedition parked in the driveway of the home. The following day, at approximately 0830 hours, Hunter realized her purse was missing. Hunter checked her vehicle and discovered it unlocked, and the purse was missing from the vehicle. Hunter drove the area to canvass for the purse, assuming it would have been quickly discarded. BOLO issued.

Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed that O1 and O2 (roommates) were in a verbal altercation about loud music. The altercation escalated when both subjects armed themselves with knifes and got into a physical altercation. R1 attempted to break up the altercation and received a minor laceration on her hand from one of the knives. Neither O1 nor O2 received any injuries from the altercation. The incident was not DV in nature, neither party wished to pursue charges and it was determined to be mutual combat. O2 was placed under arrest for a DUI, in reference to case number 190003187.

CST conducted a traffic stop at Retta St / Grand Ave. A search of the vehicle revealed brand new power tools that appeared to be stolen due to anti theft censors still being on the boxes. CST responded to Tractor Supply who confirmed some of the items were stolen from their store on today's date, however the sole occupant of the vehicle was not the culprit. All Tractor Supplies tools were photographed and released to them and the rest were taken into evidence. The case is active.
CST was conducting surveillance on the east side of District 2 and observed Shawn Ulery and Erin Fralick testing a financial card at a gas pump, presumably to make sure it worked. Both then entered a store and used the card to make purchases. CST later followed the vehicle out of the store. A check of the tag showed it was listed a stolen out of Eustis. A stop was conducted and Ulery and Fralick were secured. Numerous narcotics to include Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, Cannabis, and paraphernalia were located. CST also located a debit card belonging to Gator Freightliners out of Jacksonville. CST took the card as evidence and will follow up with the potential fraud investigation.

After this investigation, 02 was later arrested for DUI (19-3089).

He advised during the incident they put the firearm against his head. When told he didn't know that person, they demanded his valuables. V1 advised after they rummaged through the motor home, they fled the scene. CID was called and responded. The case is active.

Deputies responded to the above address for a carjacking that had just occurred. Upon arrival, contact was made with Deanna Ritchey (V1). While sitting in her vehicle, Ritchey advised she observed a vehicle pull alongside her vehicle. A short time later a male suspect opened her car door, brandished a firearm and began ordering her out of the vehicle. The victim stated she was forcibly removed from the car which sped off, followed by the suspect vehicle. AirOne and cell phone pings were used in an attempt to locate the suspects, but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was later found discarded in Seminole County. Deputies responded to Sanford to recover the stolen vehicle and it was taken to VCSO Evidence Facility for processing.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. D1 advised he was involved in a verbal argument with his mother, V1. V1 advised the argument was verbal at first, but D1 later pushed her prior to LEO arriving on scene. W1, a roommate, was interviewed and he advised he also witnessed D1 pushing his mother. V1 had redness on her chest which was consistent with being pushed. No medical attention was needed. Statements were obtained. Probable cause was established and D1 was arrested for Battery/ DV. D1 was transported to VCBJ.
Deputies responded to S. Spring Garden Ave / Pressly Cir, DeLand in reference to a head-on collision with multiple injuries. Deputies assisted Fire/EVAC with holding c-spine, bandaging patients and securing them to back boards / stretchers. In total, there were 5 injured with four being trauma alerts and one being airlifted via Air1. The road was closed for several hours with the assistance of Fire Police. FHP responded to compete the crash investigation. DeLand PD assisted VCSO at the scene.
Deputy Berriozabal responded to the DeLand Wal-Mart in reference to a theft complaint. Daniele King advised as she was shopping within the store, her wallet containing her driver's license and cash fell out of her pocket. King filled out a witness statement advising she wished to pursue charges. Case active to Deputy Berriozabal.

D1 and D2 fled the scene and W1 followed to the area of 12th Av/Cypress Av. Deputies were able to locate the truck and D1 and D2 a short distance away and take them into custody. D1 and D2 admitted to taking the property from the back patio (gloves, trash can and other miscellaneous items) without permission. D1 and D2 were placed under arrest and charged with burglary to a dwelling (attempt) and petit theft.

Deputies received information from VC3 that D1 had recently posted pictures on social media of him in possession of firearms. One picture depicted D1 with a revolver and the other with an AR-15-style rifle. D1 was served with a final Risk Protection Order on 12/18/2018. Deputies made contact with D1 at this residence who advised the picture of the rifle was older and was the rifle taken from him by Deputies in a prior incident. D1 advised that the picture taken with him holding the revolver was on 01/26/2019, while at W1's residence. D1 advised the firearm was real and he didn't know that he wasn't allowed to touch a firearm, just thought he couldn't purchase or own one. Deputies made contact with W1 who advised D1 was at his house and in possession of a separate firearm (small .25 caliber semi-automatic) during a party. W1 advised that firearm belonged to his father. Due to the firearm being locked in a safe, Deputies were unable to take pictures of it. Based on statements it appeared as if D1 was in possession of two separate firearms during the party. D1 was placed under arrest for violating the RPO. Capt. Adkins was notified.

Deputies responded to the above LOI in reference to a shooting. Contact was made with R1, who advised he heard several shots from the roadway. Deputies canvassed the area and located no people, buildings or vehicles that appeared to be struck with bullets. Multiple people in the area advised they heard the shots but did not witness anything. WC3 was notified and on scene for the call. There was no indication during the investigation that any particular residence in the area was a target of the shots.

Deputy Campbell responded to 2744 Botts Landing Rd, Apt #402, DeLand, in reference to a criminal mischief. Upon arrival, Deputy Campbell made contact with Michelle Acosta (V1) who advised on Feb.3, 2019, at approximately 2100 hours, she left her vehicle parked in the driveway with no signs of damage. Acosta stated on Feb. 4, 2019, at approximately 0930 hours, she approached her vehicle and observed four scratches on the passenger side door, which appeared to be from a car key. Acosta advised it was unknown who made the scratches; however, she is aware one of her neighbors does not like her allowing her dogs to run around without a leash.

Deputy Skrzypinski responded to 2394 Spruce Place, DeLeon Springs, in reference to a report of a death. Upon arrival, Deputy Skrzypinski made contact with William Gregory (R1) who advised on Feb. 3, 2019, at approximately 2230 hours, he last observed his sister Jannett Bennett (V1) alive in her bedroom. William advised on Feb. 4, 2019, at approximately 1253 hours, he went to check on Jannett in her bedroom and she was lying in her bed unresponsive and cold to the touch. William stated Jannett suffered from chronic medical conditions and was recently seen by her doctor. Deputy Skrzypinski checked Bennett's person for any signs of foul play which yielded negative results. Deputy Skrzypinski notified Bennett's doctor, who agreed to sign the death certificate. The livery service responded to the scene and removed Bennett's person from the scene.
