UPDATE: 2 Missing Teens Found Safe in New Orleans
Males, 17, Left Home Wednesday; Missing Guns, Cars Also Recovered
Authorities have recovered two missing West Volusia teens in New Orleans.
Austin Barrett, 17, DeBary, was last seen at his home just before 11 a.m. Wednesday by a family friend. Jonathan Francisco Castro, 17, of Orange City, was last seen at home at 6 a.m. Two guns and two vehicles were also missing from Austin’s home.
The teens were recovered safely and their parents were notified. The guns and vehicles were also recovered. More details will be released when they become available.

2 Teens Missing – VCSO Needs Public's Help to Locate Them
Two West Volusia 17-year-olds were discovered missing from their homes Wednesday afternoon, along with two vehicles belonging to one teen’s family. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help us locate these two male subjects.
Austin Barrett (DOB 12-19-2001) of 211 Alexandra Woods Dr., DeBary, was last seen at home just before 11 a.m. Wednesday by a family friend. He is diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. Austin is a white male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, weighs 200-210 pounds and has brown hair.
Two vehicles were taken from the Barrett home – a silver 1979 Datsun 2-door with Florida tag AYQG66 and a dark green Mercedes AMG e55 4-door, with Florida tag 833MHR.
Jonathan Francisco Castro, 17, (DOB 1/25/2002) of 149 E. Elm St., Orange City, was last seen at home at 6 a.m. He was wearing a black and blue flannel long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black and white Vans shoes. He may be with Austin Barrett. He is a Hispanic male, 5’8”-5’10” tall, weighs 140-150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of these teens is urged to call 911. Thank you for being our eyes and ears and helping us locate these teens.
