Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man Thursday night.

Officers responded about 6:15 p.m. Thursday to 314 West Euclid Avenue where a man, who is in his 50s and whose identity has not been confirmed, had been shot.

The man died at the scene.

Witnesses, who were at the scene with the man at the time of the shooting, told officers that a masked gunman dressed in black arrived on foot and fired several shots before fleeing on foot.

A search for the suspect was unsuccessful.
