GET SET, GET READY: MONDAY CEREMONY IS SET TO REVEAL OUR MASCOT’S NAME!
We know you’ve waited for weeks to learn the name of our new mascot!
Well, wait no more. On Monday, May 7, we will reveal the name of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) mascot at a special ceremony at Pathways Elementary School in Ormond Beach.
Pathways submitted its suggestion as a school to name our furry uniformed critter. Sheriff Mike Chitwood received a list of names submitted by all the participants. From there, he narrowed the names down to one special name and that name came from Pathways.
So to honor the school, we’ll have an official naming and pinning ceremony Monday morning at Pathways. The event is not open to the public, just the school. But there will be plenty of photos of the event and of course, we'll reveal The Name! Stay tuned.
