Both were in custody without bond this morning at the Volusia County Branch Jail.
Machuca was transported in stable condition to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. At the hospital, he was arrested by Sanford police on an open warrant out of Polk County, and the Volusia Sheriff’s Office is also charging him with domestic battery for pushing his girlfriend into the tree.
