DELAND DETECTIVES ASK FOR HELP IDENTIFYING CAR BURGLARS

In the early morning hours of 9-8-2018 numerous vehicle burglaries occurred in several different subdivisions within the south and east side of Deland.  A male subject was seen on video pulling the door handles of vehicles while a small black sedan that he exited drove near him in the street.   During the burglaries a vehicle was stolen. Security video showed the stolen vehicle leaving the area following the suspect vehicle.  Anyone with any information relating to this case is asked to contact Detective Gillan at 386-626-7429 or by email at Gillant@deland.org

Members of the community are again reminded to secure your vehicles.  Don't leave valuables or keys to cars in vehicles.  Double and triple check that all vehicle doors are locked and if you see or hear anything unusual, please contact the PD immediately!
