MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN DELTONA CRASH

A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a crash in Deltona.

The crash happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of DeBary Avenue and Providence Boulevard. The initial investigation of the crash indicates the motorcyclist, 23-year-old Kelly Sutherin of DeLand, lost control of her 2020 Harley Davidson while turning west onto DeBary Avenue from Providence.

The motorcycle crossed over several traffic lanes, entered the eastbound lanes of DeBary Avenue and collided with an oncoming Chevrolet truck. Sutherin was pronounced at the scene of the crash.

The crash investigation is continuing.
