V1 reported on 11/09/2017, USPS delivered an orange 24" Nimbus mountain unicycle (valued at $405.49) in a box to his residence. He advised unknown person(s) stole the package from his front doorstep prior to his arrival home. No evidence was able to be obtained (video surveillance, etc.). V1 will attempt to obtain serial numbers from Amazon. Case is active to Deputy Otte.

Nothing significant to report.
V1 and V2 reported while at Bill Keller Park in Debary, several subjects attempted to start a fight with V1. During the disturbance, S1 showed a black firearm and pointed it toward V2.
V2 who has a concealed weapon permit, then displayed her firearm at which time S1 entered a white Chevrolet Silverado and fled the scene.
A photo line-up was completed and shown to both victims. Neither victim was able to pick S1 from the line-up.
Deputies later contacted the father of S1, who responded to the District with S1 and 8 additional witnesses.
Due to no independent witnesses, conflicting accounts of the altercation and both V2 and S1 demanding to pursue criminal charges, Deputy DeMarco will completed aggravated assault charges on V2 and S1 and submit to the SAO for review. Case is active at the time of this writing.

V1 reported sometime overnight unknown suspects entered the business and stole numerous tools belonging to V1, V2 and V3.
A canvass of local businesses was met with negative results. No evidence of value was recovered from the scene.

While handling a disturbance complaint, it was discovered D1 attempted to make a homemade explosive device. Upon further investigation, several elements used in making other devices was discovered. The Bomb Unit was called to the scene and the Watch Commander was notified.

S1- Kaai Montgomery, B/F, 06/14/1996, 709 S. Adelle Avenue, Deland
Deputy King responded to McDonald's for a reported hit and run crash.Investigation on scene led to the discovery of illegal contraband (drugs) in the purse of Kaii Montgomery (D1). Montgomery removed the narcotics from the vehicle and attempted to conceal the items in her purse and turn the purse in to McDonald's workers as found property. Montgomery was also observed removing the license plate from the rear of the truck involved in the hit and run.
Kaii Montgomery was arrested for Possession of Cannabis , 20 grams, Possession of Prescription narcotics, Possession of crack cocaine, and Tampering with Evidence. Montgomery was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

Deputies responded to the area of Matanzas Rd / Colomba Rd after two juvenile males (12 yoa) reported an unknown white male, driving a "beat up" white car was driving slowly through the neighborhood. The juveniles stated the male displayed an artificial penis and began performing oral sex on the artificial device. The unknown male drove away and then turned around heading back toward the juveniles. The juveniles fled to their residence and notified an adult. A father of one juvenile canvassed the area and located the vehicle and spoke with the male who denied the allegation.
On-Call CID was consulted and Sergeant Cobb spoke with a Sex Crimes State Attorney. After reviewing case law relevant to the incident, the State Attorney said the incident did not constitute a criminal violation. No contact was made with the male subject, as it was deemed it would be appropriate for CID to review the incident first, and for CID to conduct an interview with the subject.

Deputy Galarza attempted a traffic stop on a gray 4-door SUV near the intersection of Estrella Rd / E Highbanks Rd. After the deputy activated his emergency lights and siren, the SUV failed to pull over and fled. Deputy Galarza was unable to read the vehicle tag. Deputy Galarza provided a description of the vehicle and then disengaged his emergency equipment. Sergeant Gowan authorized the use of stop sticks for the fleeing vehicle.
The vehicle left District 6 jurisdiction, went through Orange City, District 2, District 3 South and came back to District 4 via State Road 415. District 4 Units were able to stop stick the vehicle on SR 415 near Howland Boulevard. The vehicle was found abandoned. District 4 conducted an exhaustive search utilizing K9; however; the suspect was not located.

D1 has been texting, following, and calling V1 repeatedly after V1 advised him to stop. Messages were observed telling D1 to stop all the above, but D1 continued to harass V1.
D1 was transported to VCBJ.
R1 reported someone stole a company fuel card on/before 10/06/2017. The fuel card was utilized approximately 10 times since in the city of Deland. R1 will report the card usage with Deland Police on a later date. Case is active to Deputy Otte for further investigation.

R1 reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) entered the fenced area and stole a Caterpillar 904B tractor. The suspect(s) drove the tractor through the fence and into the wooded area near Quail Lake. The tractor was located stuck in the mud near the pond. No evidence was recovered, and case is active to Deputy Terrero for further investigation.

Deputies responded to a call for a well-being check on Lantana Drive. The homeowner's vehicle had been towed by the Florida Highway Patrol but the homeowner was no where to be found. No one responded to the repeated knocks to the doors and windows, however, a family member brought over a key and allowed deputies inside. A deceased person was found inside the house and the home was immediately established as a crime scene. The watch commander, CID on call and Major Case / Crime Scene were notified and responded to the scene.

D-1 went to V-1's residence to look for her son who she reportedly had not seen in two days. D-1 was heavily intoxicated, and did not believe V-1, who said D-1's son was not at his residence. D-1 reportedly was invited into the home and initially refused, then entered the home, grabbed V-1 by his arm, and threatened to hurt him. V-1's father was contacted, and wished to sign charges against D-1 for Child Abuse. V-1 did not sustain any injuries. D-1 was located at her residence a short time later and admitted to grabbing V-1 and shaking him.
D-1 was transported to the branch jail without incident.

R1 reported his son missing after an argument over behavior issues. V-1 has been known to leave before but always came back after a day. During this incident, V-1 was last seen two days ago by R-1, who is concerned for his well being. V-1 is in good mental and physical condition and was seen in the area recently by friends. V-1 was entered into teletype as a missing person via Central Records. The case is active.
***Pass On Affidavit***
S-1 and V-1 are husband and wife and reside in the same residence as a family unit. S-1 and V-1 were at the Preview Games, Orange City in a verbal altercation over V-1 having a possible affair. During the verbal altercation V-1 stated S-1 struck her in the eye, but could not recall if it was a punch or if he poked her with his finger. S-1 fled the scene. A bolo was issued for S-1, but he could not be located at his residence. V-1's left eye was red and watery. Surveillance footage showed V-1 being struck by S-1. V-1 refused rescue and was provided with a DV pamphlet. A Pass On Affidavit was completed on S-1 for DV Simple Battery and placed in the D-6 Pass On Binder.
R-1 is employed by V-1 and observed S-1 inside the store by the vitamin aisle. R-1 asked S-1 if he needed assistance, due to noticing he had two bags full of goods. R-1 stood by the exit and several minutes later S-1 is observed running out the store without attempting to pay for stolen goods. An inventory was conducted and determined S-1 stolen $1,054.71 worth of vitamins. S-1 was unable to be located. Case active to Deputy.

Deputies responded to the above location regarding a CPR in-progress call. Upon arrival, Debary Fire Department personnel were actively working CPR on V1. V1 was subsequently pronounced deceased at 1421 hours.
V1 suffered from numerous medical ailments, and his primary doctor will sign the certificate. The nursing home arranged for a livery service. V1 has no living family members, so no next-of-kin was notified. Nothing suspicious was observed.

D1 and V1 were in an argument. V1 was intoxicated and was wanting to leave with their baby. V1 told D1 she could not leave with the child. D1 punched V1 in the face with a closed fist. D1 was transported to VCBJ.
V1 advised between January and March 2017, S1, stole and pawned items from her residence. V1 advised the items, valued at a total of $2,180.61, were stolen. Case is active to Deputy Richardson for further investigation.

Deputy King located a white Ford truck bearing FL tag 346-QHG abandoned on W. New York Avenue near Racine Road, Orange City. A teletype check revealed the truck had been reported stolen on 10/30/2017 from Orange City.
The vehicle was unoccupied and cool to the touch, indicating it had been parked for some time. The FCIC/NCIC entry was cancelled.
The vehicle was towed by C&S Towing after attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. Case Status: Inactive

Deputies observed a 2008 Ford F-150, reported stolen out of Longwood, traveling on Charles R. Beall Bl. in Debary. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and secured D1, who was operating the vehicle. D1 was arrested for grand theft of a motor vehicle and possession of paraphernalia.
