Deputies responded to the listed address in reference to a tip of a stolen vehicle and a subject with a warrant. The vehicle was recovered from the rear of the property after the occupants gave consent. The occupants also claimed no knowledge of the vehicle or the stolen status.

V-1 lives with her grandmother, R-1, at the listed location. R-1 stated that V-1 has a history of leaving the residence in the middle of the night. R-1 advised that sometime this evening, V-1 again left the residence, without permission, and her whereabouts are unknown. V-1 has no way to be contacted at this time. V-1 was entered as missing and a bulletin was created.

Deputy Howard responded to the Adventure Yacht Club, located at 3948 S. Peninsula Blvd in Daytona Beach Shores in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Howard located a 2011 Mercedes C300, bearing a GA tag. A check of the tag revealed the vehicle and attached tag were reported stolen out of Tennessee on 11-10-2018. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of recovery.
During a subsequent call, a female was reported as a suspicious person in the area of Cardinal Blvd and Demotte Avenue. Upon arrival, D-1 and D-2 were contacted walking in the area of Cardinal Blvd and Marcelle Ave., which is approximately 3 blocks from the stolen vehicle recovery. A subsequent investigation revealed both were connected to the previous recovered stolen Mercedes vehicle. Deputy Howard arrested D-1 and D-2 and charged them with grand theft of a vehicle. Both were later transported to VCBJ.
It should be noted D-1 and D-2 were in possession of a baby stroller, gray purse, gray backpack, LED light bar and a Rigid plastic toolbox containing misc. hand tools. D-2 claimed the items were found in the area and did not claim ownership. The items were entered into Evidence as found property. Ponce Inlet PD responded to the District Office and identified D-2 as the driver of the Mercedes vehicle, which fled from them on the previous night shift. PIPD will be filing Fleeing and Eluding charges during a future shift.

Deputy Maxwell responded to 2617 Cow Creek Road in Edgewater regarding a residential burglary. Contact was made with V-1, who advised his house was burglarized on this date. He reported a drop safe was stolen from behind his A/C air handler and multiple coins were removed from inside the home, along with a collectible and a gold necklace. V-1 also reported his residence was entered on or about 11-06-2018, when a coin collection was removed from the residence. A jewelry box and a class ring were also taken.
V-1 Mamiere, Thomas (W/M 05-21-1954) 2617 Cow Creek Road EDG, FL
S-1 allegedly grabbed V-2, a toddler, in a forceful manner and made threats of physical harm. V-1, the mother of V-2, intervened and took V-2. S-1 then allegedly threw V-1 to the ground while she was holding V-2 and then fled the area. Attempts to locate S-1 proved negative. An affidavit was prepared and passed on to the oncoming shift.

18-26378, W/F, New Smyrna Beach; arrested for battery on a disabled person/domestic violence (Deputy Carelli)
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. The investigation revealed that D1 allegedly shoved her disabled (quadriplegic) husband out of his wheelchair, which resulted in a small laceration to V1's head. V1's injuries were minor and did not require medical treatment. D1 was arrested for battery on a disabled person (domestic violence) and transported to jail.
Sergeant Cochran was patrolling the area of West Loop in Oak Hill when he attempted a stop on a bicycle being ridden by D1, a juvenile. D1 fled on the bicycle and eventually fled on foot into a heavily wooded area. Sergeant Cochran gave chase into the woods and encountered other subjects, which allowed D1 time to temporarily evade capture. Through investigative techniques, Sergeant Cochran identified D1 and arrested him at his residence a short time later. D1 was later issued a court date and released to his parents at the direction of DJJ. Director Carla Quann was notified.
Sergeant Cochran was patrolling the area of West Loop in Oak Hill when he observed D1 walking in the roadway with an open alcoholic beverage and a cigarette. During the encounter, Sergeant Cochran discovered D1 was on felony juvenile probation for burglary of an unoccupied dwelling with a 7 PM curfew. Based on the new law violations and violations of several probation conditions, D1 was arrested. D1 was later provided a court date and released to his parents at the direction of DJJ. Director Carla Quann was notified.

V1 stated D1 refused to get up for school this morning. D1, a juvenile, went into her closet and when V1 came in, they started arguing. V1 stated D1 came out of the closet and started swinging her arms. V1 grabbed D1 and put her on the floor and D1 started kicking him.

V1 stated he and S1 got into an argument when V1 found his fishing net had been cut. V1 stated S1 began to threaten him and V2, S1's sister. S1 did not want V1 or V2 on the property. V1 told S1 he pays rent and he wasn't going to leave. S1 went into the barn and grabbed a rifle and pointed at V1 and V2 and told them he would kill them if they didn't leave. V1 stated he wasn't leaving. S1 then got a machete and swung it at V1 several times. V1 then called law enforcement. S1 took off running, grabbed V2 by the hair and pulled her to the ground and then fled the scene.
Deputies, along with Air1 and Edgewater P.D. K9, searched the area with negative results. A complaint affidavit was completed on S1. The Watch Commander was notified and responded.
V1 stated Between 11/04-11/06/2018 unknown person(S) came on to his property and stole a Busch Beer pool table light, Malletti MR150 lawn deck/brush hog and red scrapper blade. V1 stated he suspects three people known to him.
V1 Maynard J. Logan W/M 01/18/1985 1050 Old Mission Rd., NSB
Deputy Whitson and his K9 partner Endo assisted South Daytona P.D. with a burglary of a conveyance where the suspects fled on foot. Deputy Whitson deployed his K9 and was able to apprehend D1. D1 received small lacerations on his right thigh and was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center, where South Daytona P.D. took custody of him. SDPD charged D1 with burglary of a conveyance, armed burglary of a conveyance, grand theft of a firearm and resisting without violence. The Watch Commander was notified.

V1 called law enforcement after D1 walked into his residence uninvited. V1 stated he does not know D1 and why he came into his home. Deputies entered the residence and found D1 in a bedroom asleep. Deputies secured D1 and woke him up. D1 was clearly under the influence of narcotics. D1 began fighting with Deputies and had to be restrained. EvVAC was called to transport D1 to the hospital to be evaluated. While D1 was being put on the stretcher, he bit a sergeant on the middle finger. D1 was subsequently charged with battery on LEO, resisting with violence and trespassing.

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to the report of a person that had suffered a gunshot wound. Contact was made with V-1 and O-1 in a makeshift camp at the rear of the wooded property (southern portion of the property). V-1 was found deceased and had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. Chain of command was notified and detectives responded to the scene to take over the investigation.

D-1 and V-1, husband and wife, engaged in a verbal altercation at their residence. Both had been consuming alcohol and V-1 attempted to contact LEO. D-1 allegedly grabbed V-1 by the hair, took the phone from her, then smashed it. D-1 was placed into custody without incident and charged with tampering with a witness, battery on a person 65, and Poss. legend without prescription.

V1 advised sometime between 0730 and 1430 on this date, unknown suspect(s) poured some type of substance on his vehicle, causing severe damage to the paint on the entire car. The case is active at this time.
D1- Joseph E. Warren, b/m, 12/16/1997
Port Orange Police attempted to stop a blue older model Lincoln Town car in their city for no tag. The vehicle fled from them towards US1 on Dunlawton and they lost sight of it. A short time later, New Smyrna Police Officers located the vehicle traveling south on US1 into New Smyrna traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputy Carelli located the vehicle at Washington Street and US1 and attempted to stop it, however, the vehicle fled again over the South Causeway towards the beachside. A short time later, the vehicle was again spotted by Deputy Carelli headed back west on the South Causeway. Deputy Carelli again attempted to stop it and the vehicle pulled over. The driver, D1, was taken into custody without incident. Port Orange Police Department also has charges on D1. He was transported to the branch jail without incident.
Deputies located a subject who had fled from Holly Hill earlier and was also making statements to harm civilians and law enforcement with a firearm. Upon contact with him, he fled on foot and brandished a firearm. A deputy and two Port Orange Police Officers were forced to open fire with their duty firearms when the subject pointed his firearm at them, striking the subject. He was air lifted to Halifax Hospital from the scene. Command staff was notified and responded, and the case is actively being investigated by both VCSO Detectives and Port Orange Police Detectives.

V-1 was contacted at her residence shortly after arriving home. She was subsequently placed into protective custody and transported to Stewart Marchman Act under the Baker Act. All BOLOs were cancelled.
R-1 advised that his wife V-1 has a history of bi-polar disorder, prescription medication abuse, and suicide attempts. On this date V-1 had
allegedly been drinking wine during the day and not acting like herself. R-1 stated V-1's behavior was much like a previous time she had attempted
suicide. V-1 left the residence and had stated she was "sorry". V-1 had also taken all of her prescription
medication with her. She eventually returned home.

R-1 advised that his wife V-1 has a history of mental health issues, prescription medication abuse, and suicide attempts. On this date V-1 had allegedly been drinking wine during the day and not acting like herself. R-1 stated V-1's behavior was much like a previous time she had attempted suicide. V-1 left the residence stated that, for no reason, that she was "sorry." V-1 had also taken all of her prescription medication with her. V-1's father was also contacted and he confirmed her out of character behavior earlier in the day.
Air 1, deputies, and Edgewater PD personnel canvassed the area (Edgewater, Oak Hill, and the beachside area) but obtained negative results. The crime center attempted to obtain information through social media and any associates but also obtained negative results. Family members, her place of employment, and friends were also contacted but no additional information could be gathered. A Bulletin was created, a bolo was issued, and V-1 was entered into FCIC/NCIC as missing and endangered.
On 10/30/18 V1 returned home and contact was made with V1 by Deputies. V1 was evaluated for BA and was transported to Stewart Marchaman Act Behavioral Center. Case closed by Patrol

Deputies responded to a disturbance involving V-1 and D-1, who are uncle and nephew. V-1 and D-1 became involved in a physical altercation, resulting in D-1 placing V-1 in a choke hold and restricting his airway. V-1 was able to strike D-1 in the face and escaped his grasp before fleeing into the residence. Deputy Walsh determined D-1 was the primary aggressor and arrested him for felony battery by strangulation.
D1 is currently on federal probation. His Probation Officer was notified via telephone.

V1 stated his girlfriend, D1, came home intoxicated and angry. D1 started an argument and pushed V1. D1 smacked V1 on the face and V1 called law enforcement. D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ.

Edgewater Police Officers attempted to stop a stolen silver Chevy Tahoe and lost sight of it. Sgt. Hairston was traveling south on North Dixie Freeway in the 2800 block when he observed the stolen vehicle traveling northbound. Sgt. Hairston turned around and was able to acquire a visual on the vehicle just north of Nova Road, traveling north on Ridgewood Avenue. Sgt. Hairston maintained a safe distance from the vehicle while keeping it in sight until Air1 was overhead. Air1 was able to direct ground units with stop sticks.
A Daytona Beach Shores officer was able to "stick" the vehicle's front right tire. The vehicle then pulled into the parking lot of Oceans West Condos where the driver fled on foot. Daytona Beach Shores officer was able to apprehend the suspect with the assistance of Air1. VCSO did not have any charges on the male.

V1 stated she left her Smith & Wesson MP40 .40 caliber pistol in the center console of her vehicle on 10/24/2018, after she returned home from work. V1 stated the next morning on her way to work she found her pistol and holster were missing. V1 stated she always leaves her vehicle unlocked with her pistol inside.

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a crash. Deputies discovered O1 that a physical altercation had occurred between O1 and O3. O3 was driving the vehicle when the fight began. O3 pulled over to put O1 and O2 out. O2 got out of the vehicle and was attempting to pull O1 off of O3. O3 was pulled towards the passenger seat and her foot came off the brake. O1 then fell under the vehicle as O2 was pulling her. O1 was transported to Halifax Hospital. Florida Highway Patrol responded and conducted the crash report.

D-1 initiated an altercation with his brother V-1 that turned physical. Their mother V-2 attempted to intervene and was also struck by D-1. D-1 was placed into custody without incident.

On 10-23-18 Deputy Proctor observed the bulletin in reference to the earlier reported retail theft. Deputy Proctor identified the subject as D-1. The clerk at the store was shown a phote line-up and positively identified D-1 as the subject who had stolen the merchandise. D-1 was placed into custody without incident. D-1 was charged with probation violation (see VCSO 18-25004)

V1 stated she has a no contact protection order against her ex-boyfriend, S1. V1 stated D1 has been to her place of business as well as texted her. Deputies attempted to locate S1 and met with negative results. A copy of the affidavit was left with nightshift if S1 was located.
R1 called to report his friend, V1, who had been staying with him recently, had stolen a 380 caliber firearm from his residence and also fired a round inside the house while R1 was not home. When deputies arrived on scene, R1 further said V1 had made suicidal statements earlier in the day. V1 reportedly suffers from alcohol abuse. Investigative measures were employed in an attempt to locate V1, and he was later located in the parking lot of Walmart on SR 44. V1 was taken into custody under the provisions of the baker act. The firearm was recovered and returned to R1, who declined to file charges for the theft. RPO paperwork was completed and submitted for review. The watch commander, Lt. Piser, was aware of the incident.
