Deputies responded to the Beach House in reference to a juvenile who had superficial cuts to her wrists after making several statements about being depressed. V1 was contacted by staff prior to Deputies' arrival. Deputies arrived and determined V1 met BA criteria. V1 was placed in protective custody and transported to Halifax Medical Center for treatment.

D1 got into an argument with her sister, V1, about watching V2's child. The incident culminated with D1 attacking V1, causing minor injuries. When V2 attempted to break up the fight, D1 attacked V2, causing minor injuries. D1 was arrested for two counts of simple battery, one being DV. D1 was transported to the jail.
V1 reported sometime within a 5-week time frame her debit card was stolen from her residence. V1 advised several people have been to her residence during that time. V1 advised approx. $1,500 was fraudulently charged on the card. V1 is going to obtain the locations and dates of the transactions from the bank and contact Deputy Armstrong with the information. Case active for follow up.

V1 advised a known associate, S1, came to his residence and accused him of stealing his headphones. V1 advised S1 starting punching him on or about the face. V1 advised he dropped his cell phone on the ground during the fight and S1 picked it up and fled from the property. V1 sustained minor abrasions to his face but refused medical treatment. Attempts to locate S1 yielded negative results. A 707 affidavit was passed to dayshift to attempt to locate subject.

Deputies located a gold 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe at the Walgreens at 790 W. Granada Blvd. The vehicle was reported stolen from Jacksonville. D1 was located inside the vehicle and was taken into custody and charged with Grand Theft Auto. The owner, O1 was contacted and notified her vehicle had been recovered and arrangements were made for its recovery.

V1 was discovered at home deceased by her niece, W1. V1 suffered from several medical conditions. V1's doctor was contacted and advised he would sign the death certificate. V1 was turned over to livery service and all medications were collected and placed into evidence for disposal.

V-1 has an injunction for protection against her husband S-1. The terms of the injunction state that V-1 and S-1 are only to have contact through a court-approved phone app for child exchange. S-1 violated the terms of the injunction by sending numerous messages on multiple occasions unrelated to child exchange. S-1 is homeless and his current location is unknown. A 707 affidavit was completed by Deputy Held.
R-1 reported that on 11/20/18, an unknown male came in to the Chevron gas station and cashed a check for $189. R-1 was notified by Wells Fargo Bank that the check was fraudulent. Deputy Marsan will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

V-1 reported that while in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail in 2016, she was forced to perform a sex act on S-1. Case forwarded to the eastside detectives unit.

Ormond Beach Police Department located an unconscious male lying in the parking lot at the Loves Truck Stop. Central Dispatch advised the unconscious, intoxicated male was eventually identified as D1. D1 indicated he was the father of two young children, and he did not know where his children were currently located. OBPD requested the Volusia County Sheriff's Office conduct a well-being check at D1's residence to locate his two children. D1's children, V1 and V2, were located at his residence in good health and unharmed. Deputies made contact with W1 and W2 who advised D1 routinely leaves the two children at the residence unattended for hours. W2 advised D1 and his two children rent a room from her. However she has told D1 she is physically unable to care for his children. W2 advised when the children came home from school today she was unable to locate or make contact with D1 and asked W1, who is her neighbor, to come over and assist her in caring for the children. D1 was returned to the residence while deputies were on scene and immediate became belligerent and verbally abusive to W1 and W2. It was determined D1 had abandoned his children and was taken into custody and charged with child neglect. DCF was contacted and authorized the children be turned over to O1, D1's brother.

V1 discovered his saw missing from his property on 11/21/18. V1 stated the saw was left outside and nothing else was missing from his property. V1 was able to provide the make, model and color of the saw but not the serial number at this time.
D-1 has been sending messages to V-1 over Facebook. V-1 has an injunction for protection against D-1 with a no-contact order. A 707 affidavit was completed by Deputy Marsan.

Deputies responded to the listed location in reference to multiple vandalisms to vehicles that had just occurred. An eye witness (W1) reported seeing a male busting out the windows of vehicles at the Autosports car lot. The suspect fled in a vehicle, which was stopped minutes later by Daytona Beach Police at LPGA/Williamson. The driver (sole occupant) matched the suspect description and was detained. The witness was transported to D1's location for a "show-up," at which time D1 was positively identified as the perpetrator. The ensuing investigation resulted in the identification of additional victims. A total of nine vehicles were damaged in this incident. D1 was charged with two counts of criminal mischief (over $1,000) and two counts of criminal mischief (less than $1,000.00). HHPD also had criminal mischief charges on D1, which occurred across Nova Road at the Neighborhood Walmart (HHPD case # 180003309)

R1 reported three vehicles were vandalized at the business overnight (windows smashed). The incident is believed to be related to VCSO case #18-28023 and HHPD case #180003309 (where S1 was arrested); however, due to the distance and lack of physical evidence in this case, S1 could not be charged at this time. Case status: Inactive.

V1 reported a Rolex watch valued at $5,000 was missing from her residence since her home was cleaned on 11-01-18. Case active to Deputy Greene.

R1 stated after eating at a nearby restaurant with her fiancé, V1, they arrived at their residence where she advised her son, D1, who lives there as well, was in his room. R1 stated she went to her juvenile son's bedroom to bring him food where she found his door to be locked. R1 stated she and V1 tried to get D1's attention by knocking on his door for approximately 10 minutes. R1 stated when D1 finally answered the door, he appeared to have slurred speech and might possibly be intoxicated. R1 stated D1 became belligerent and physically aggressive when V1 stepped in between her and D1 to separate them. R1 advised D1 bit V1 on the forearm during the physical altercation. D1 was taken into custody and charged with simple battery. DJJ was notified and it was determined D1 did not meet criteria and was released back to R1. A copy of the affidavit was faxed to DCF for review.

V1 advised she let S1 borrow her vehicle and he refused to return it. V1 advised all attempts to recover her vehicle from S1 over several days yielded negative results. V1 advised she wished to pursue charges against S1 for grand theft of a motor vehicle and provided a sworn written statement. During the investigation, the vehicle was recovered by V1 but deputies were unable to locate S1. An SA-707 was completed and forwarded to the State Attorney's Office for review.
R1 advised she discovered her husband, V1, sitting in his vehicle in the garage with the motor running and a hose attached to the exhaust pipe and running into the vehicle. R1 advised she called for assistance but prior to deputies arriving on scene, V1 drove off. Deputies conducted a search for V1, which yielded negative results. A BOLO was created and disseminated countywide and to Flagler County. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office located V1 and placed him in protective custody under the Baker Act and transported him to Halifax Health Medical Center for evaluation.

V1 reported his orange 2005 Chevy Corvette was stolen from the sandy parking area at the above location while he was walking on the beach. The theft allegedly occurred between 0745 and 0825 hours. V1 still had his keys in his possession so it is unknown at this time how the vehicle was taken. The vehicle was entered into databases as stolen.
V1 reported she and her live-in boyfriend were traveling south on US1 in Ormond when they became engaged in a verbal argument. While stopped in the 1600 block, D1 grabbed V1 by her face and shoved her head into the driver's door glass. V1 then jumped out of the vehicle and ran to Love's Truck Stop for help. V1 complained of some pain in her head but declined medical treatment. D1 was arrested for simple battery DV by Deputy Greene and transported to the jail.

V1 reported her credit card (which was stolen during a car break in New Smyrna (NSB case #181200004) was fraudulently used to make a $511.00 purchase at the Family Dollar (1275 LPGA) on 12/01/18. D1 and D2 were arrested today by Holly Hill Police after they attempted to cash a check belonging to V1. (HHPD case #80003297). The check was also taken during the car break in NSB.
Deputy Wagers reviewed Dollar General's surveillance footage of the fraudulent credit card transaction and was able to positively identify D1 and D2 (due to having numerous previous contacts with both subjects). D1 and D2 were still in custody at VCBJ so Deputy Wagers arrested them both for fraudulent use of a credit card in excess of $100.00.

District 3 CST spotted a stolen black 2014 GMC pickup, traveling northbound on Derbyshire Road, in Daytona Beach. The truck was reported stolen during a series of vehicle burglaries in Daytona Beach on 11/29/2018. CST followed the truck into an apartment complex at 875 Derbyshire Road. As the vehicle entered a parking space, CST parked behind the vehicle and arrested the driver, D1. After D1 was taken into custody, CST located a loaded handgun on D1's person. D1 was arrested for grand theft motor vehicle, carrying a concealed firearm, and dealing in stolen property.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 white Jeep Laredo in the 1200 block of Ocean Shore Boulevard for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver, O1, deputies detected the odor of burnt cannabis emanating from the inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced a small bag containing approximately 0.5 grams of marijuana in O1's friend's, S1, purse who was located in the right front passenger seat of the vehicle. Deputies contacted the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) via telephone regarding this investigation. Deputies spoke with Juvenile Probation Officer (JPO) Nazario in the screening unit at DJJ. JPO Nazario stated that S1 did not qualify to receive a Civil Citation under the Juvenile Diversion Program, due to prior criminal misdemeanor charges. A 707 affidavit was completed and forwarded to the State's Attorney's Office for further review. S1 was turned over to her mother, O3.

V1 reported sometime between yesterday and today, the residence he owns and is currently remodeling was burglarized. Missing were: Troybilt generator, Dewalt grinder, Bosch jack hammer, Dewalt box drill, and a gray tool box with numerous misc. tools. Case active to Deputy Bayne.
V1 reported she responded to the listed location to retrieve her belongings following a breakup with boyfriend (D1). V1 advised while on scene the two began to argue. V1 advised she accidentally dropped a glass measuring cup which caused D1 to become more angry. V1 advised D1 pushed her against the wall and punched her with his right fist, causing a small cut on the inside of her lip. V1 advised she bent over to try and protect herself, at which time D1 kneed her in the head. V1 reported D1 then retrieved a silver revolver, cocked it and pointed it at her, while telling her to leave the residence. V1 gathered her belongings and left.
Deputy Armstrong met with V1 at SR40/Ocean Blvd., where she reported the incident. Deputy Armstrong and an OBPD officer responded to D1's residence where he was arrested without incident. The firearm allegedly used in the incident was recovered and submitted into evidence.

V-1 and D-1 (girlfriend and boyfriend) reside together at the listed location. The two were engaged in a verbal altercation when D-1 allegedly began striking V-1. Upon arrival of the deputies, D-1 was found hiding in a closet. V-1 had visible injuries and D-1 was placed into custody without incident. D-1 is also on felony probation and had prior DV-related charges/convictions. D-1 was charged with a felony battery and onview VOP (see #18-27654).

V1 advised he was admitted to the hospital on 11-22-18 and later that day, his neighbor called him and informed him the doors to his residence were standing wide open. V1 notified VCSO and deputies responded but did not find anyone inside or any signs of forced entry. Deputies secured the residence and advised V1 to contact VCSO upon his release if he found anything missing. V1 was released today and upon returning home, he discovered missing: (3) firearms; Superman of the Century watch, unknown laptop computer, misc. prescription medication, cash, misc. knives, five (5) pairs of RayBan sunglasses.
