V1 had contacted the Suicide Hot Line and stated she had thoughts about self harm but had not acted upon them. V1 advised she is depressed over her marriage and inability to fix it. V1 advised she has been diagnosed with depression but has not taken her medication in approximately two weeks. V1 was taken into protective custody and transported to Halifax Hospital for further evaluation.
V1 advised she and her husband, D1, entered into a verbal argument over a tarp hanging in her kitchen and an AC unit that he had installed in the window. V1 advised she had torn down the tarp and pushed the A/C out the window when D1 walked up behind her and grabbed her by the back of her neck and pushed her down onto the dog crate located next to the window causing minor injuries to her neck( redness and minor swelling). W1 and W2 were present and corroborated V1's story stating V1 never made any aggressive move towards D1. D1 was arrested and charged with simple battery.

V1 reported sometime between 1130 and 1530 hours today, someone forced entry to his residence. Once inside the unknown suspect(s) stole three handguns (32 Baretta , 45 Ruger, 9MM Taurus). Case active to Deputy Wagers.

Lieutenant Shaw contacted Deputy Erlandson to report a fraud. Lt. Shaw advised D1 was brought in on 09-10-2018 and had a fraudulent check in his possession. D1 confirmed the check was his during booking and did not disclose the check was counterfeit. The check, in the amount of $350.24 was deposited into D1's commissary account and the funds were spent by D1, prior to the forgery being discovered. D1 was charged with uttering a forged instrument and grand theft.

Deputy Cort stopped D1 for a traffic infraction. Upon contacting D1, Deputy Cort detected a strong odor of raw cannabis coming from the vehicle and observed some in a jar in the center console. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 172.9 grams of cannabis, 4 Clonazepam pills, and paraphernalia. D1 was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a schedule IV substance, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Deputy Erlandson responded to the listed location in reference to report of a male passing counterfeit checks. Investigation revealed S2 passed a counterfeit check Sunday night which wasn't discovered until the store owner attempted to deposit the check in her bank. S1 and S2 then returned to the store on the evening of 09/18/18, at which time S1 attempted to cash another counterfeit check (S2 remained in the vehicle). The store owner recognized the check matched the first one and refused to cash it. S1 fled from the store. Affidavits were completed on S1 and S2 and turned over to the oncoming shift.

R1 advised he found his grandson, V1, lying on the floor unresponsive. R1 advised he observed a syringe lying next to V1. Deputies arrived on scene and administered 2 doses of Narcan to V1, who was revived and transported to Halifax Health Medical Center for further treatment. It was determined V1 posed a significant threat to himself and was placed in protective custody.

V1 advised at approximately 2209 hours he observed on his surveillance camera a male wearing a hoodie and dark pants attempt to enter his 2009 Dodge Ram pickup. V1 advised he then observed the male exit his yard northbound on Wild Rose Lane. V1 advised he checked his vehicle and found it still locked and nothing missing from the cab. Units conducted a search of the surrounding area in conjunction with Air 1, with negative results.

R1 advised he observed two white males discharging firearms at two posted Volusia County signs. R1 attempted to contact the subjects but they were observed leaving the area. O1 advised he did not want to pursue charges and only wanted a report for documentation of the incident. No other information was generated during the investigation.

V1 reported that sometime between 09-17-18 at 2200 hours and 09-18-18 at 0400 hours, unknown suspect(s) stole her 2011 black Honda CRV (Fl-RKY881) from the front of her residence. V1 advised a spare key was within the vehicle. The vehicle had a save the turtles tag and a decal on the rear window of dog pawprints.

R1 is the daughter of V1 and O1. R1 advised her father, V1, has been diagnosed with dementia and schizophrenia but is not taking medication. R1 advised V1 is hallucinating and becoming aggressive toward her mother, O1, and threatened her with a knife. R1 advised O1 has been staying with her because she is scared of V1. R1 advised V1 has become delusional and hears voices and without proper treatment she believes he is a danger to himself and others. V1 was contacted and taken into protective custody and transported to Halifax Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
On 09-17-2018 at 1828 hours, Deputies responded to the BEACH House at 3875 Tiger Bay Rd. Daytona Beach, in reference to a juvenile runaway. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with BEACH House staff who advised (O1) had run off the property and into the woods north of the facility.
Air 1 responded to the scene and located O1 approximately 300 yards northwest of the facility in the woods. O1 was recovered by deputies and returned to the Beach House without further incident.
V1 Jason Rogers, W/M, 05/23/84, Transient, OB
A traffic stop was conducted on a U-Haul truck bearing an Arizona tag after the vehicle was observed leaving the parking lot at the Walmart at 1905 Nova Rd. by driving across both northbound and southbound lanes of travel and entering the turn lane that is posted "Do Not Enter" for southbound traffic to enter the Wal-Mart parking lot. V1 was identified as the driver and placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license. A subsequent search of the vehicle prior to being towed yielded a large inventory of property identified as stolen from a residence in Ormond Beach (See OB case # OB180900312 for details). V1 and the vehicle were turned over to Ormond Beach Police reference the burglary. V1 was issued citation for DWLS/R with knowledge and for violation of a traffic control device.

V1's husband awoke to find his wife deceased. V1 had a history of cardiac issues. There was nothing suspicious within the residence and no signs of foul play. V1's doctor advised he would sign the death certificate.

V1 reported at 1200 hours she placed several packages outside her residence door to be picked up by the postal service. At 1230 hours, she realized the packages were stolen. The total value of the packages was $180.

V1 advised he has a drug & alcohol problem and had thoughts of suicide this date. No known firearms. Subject was BA'd.

Deputies responded to a physical disturbance between male in a female. The caller advised the male was refusing to allow the female to leave and was pushing her. R1 advised they were currently inside the trailer and he could hear the female screaming for help. Deputies arrived on scene and as they made their approach, they could hear a male cursing. The female (V1) then emerged in the open doorway and stepped out, obviously upset and in fear. The male (D1) stepped out immediately behind the female, at which time he was secured without incident. Investigation revealed V1 was attempting to vacate the residence when D1 refused to allow her to leave and pushed her several times. V1 attempted to call 911 but D1 took her phone away from her. D1 was arrested for felony battery (dv), false imprisonment and tampering with a witness. Additional allegations were made, and Sgt. Smith and Detective Welch responded to assume the investigation. Possible additional charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
V1's purse was stolen while she was at McDonald's. Case is active to Deputy Erlandson.
After being kicked out of the residence of the victim (Crystal Vullamparthi) for stealing from her, her brother (Warren Wilson) stayed overnight in a camper on the property. It was later discovered that Wilson stole a PlayStation 4, controller, and game (valued at approx. $335) from the camper. Wilson reportedly told Vullamparthi that he sold the items on the street. Deputy Erlandson's investigation produced PC to arrest Wilson, who was taken into custody for Grand Theft.

R1 advised he resides with V1. R1 advised he returned to the residence at approximately 1900 hours and discovered V1 lying on her bed in the living room unresponsive. R1 did not have any other information regarding V1. V1 suffered from multiple medical issues. No current doctor could be located for V1 and she was turned over to the Medical Examiner's Office. The residence was turned over to the family.
R1 advised he entered into a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend, O1, over their breakup and she threw a full beer can at him striking him on his hand causing a minor contusion. R1 refused medical treatment and refused to press charges. O1 reiterated R1's story and admitted to throwing a full beer can at R1. The results of the investigation concluded the incident was not domestic in nature and no charges were filed. Both parties separated and returned to their respective residences.

V1 reported sometime between 09-12-18 and 09-15-18, someone entered his residence and burglarized his safe. A total of six firearms were stolen from the safe. Case active to Deputy Erlandson.
V1 reported she and D1 became engaged in a verbal argument over him bringing a bag of cannabis into the home they share with their minor children. V1 advised she did not want the cannabis in the home with her children so she grabbed the bag from D1 and attempted to run out of the residence with it. At this time, D1 grabbed V1 in a bear hug and tackled her to the floor. V1 advised the two struggled on the floor briefly as she fought to get him off of her. D1 fled from the residence in his vehicle with his bag of cannabis, but returned just prior to the arrival of deputies. The cannabis was not recovered. V1 sustained and abrasion, contusion and minor swelling to her right elbow, pain in her right hip, and abrasion on her left hand and redness to her neck/chest area as a result of the incident. V1 was checked by VCFS on scene, and declined further treatment. D1 was arrested for simple battery (dv).
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance, Dispatch received a 911 call and had an open line where they could her a loud verbal disturbance in the background. Deputies arrived and requested V1 step outside. V1 was visibly fearful and crying. Investigation revealed the couple had been involved in a dispute last night at a local motel. V1 stated she left the motel to give D1 space and ultimately returned home . D1 returned home this morning and a disturbance immediately ensued. D1 reportedly threw items around. V1 cowered on the couch as D1 leaned over her and raised his fist above her in a threatening manner, making her fearful a strike was imminent. Throughout the investigation V1 was visibly in fear of D1. D1 was arrested for simple assault (dv), possession of cannabis, and possession of paraphernalia.

R1 advised O3 and O4 are juvenile detainees at DJJ. R1 advised O1 and O2 are officers employed by DJJ. R1 advised O4 had attacked O3 in O4's cell when O1 and O2 had opened her cell door to let her out to go to the restroom. R1 advised O3 was taken to Halifax Hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the attack. Video of the incident was recovered and a report and the video were forwarded for further investigation.

R1 and R2 advised they heard gun shots at approximately 2300 hours. R1 advised he heard some yelling that he had been shot and was dying. R2 advised shortly after hearing the shots she heard some one banging on her garage door yelling "I am dying, open the door. R2 told O1 she was calling the Sheriff's Office and the subject exited her property there after. O1 was located at the corner of Old Kings Rd. and David Dr.. O1 had a gunshot wound to his left bicep and right thigh. O1 advised he met an unidentified male and got into a vehicle to discuss doing a tattoo. O1 advised they got into an argument and when he exited the vehicle the male shot him. O1 advised he ran down Davis yelling for help and did not see the direction of travel of the male when he fled the scene. O1 did not have any other information regarding the incident at this time.

Deputy Wagers observed a white van with a stolen Florida tag (JGUL08) travelling north on Ridgewood from LPGA. The van pulled into the Salvation Army (Ridgewood/15th). Back-up units arrived and the van's three occupants were detained. A teletype check of the VIN on the van revealed it was reported stolen out of Georgia. A second stolen tag was located inside the van. After questioning all three occupants, it was determined O1 had no knowledge of the stolen vehicle or tags so he was released from the scene. At the conclusion of the investigation, D1 was charged with grand theft auto, petit theft (x2 for each stolen tag- upgraded to felonies due to having previous petit theft convictions), and DWLS (felony). D2 was charged with grand theft auto and petit theft (x2 for each stolen tag- upgraded to felonies due to having previous petit theft convictions).

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a dark gray 2016 Chrysler 200 bearing FL tag # GZIJ30 that was reported stolen from Daytona Beach. Stop sticks were utilized and the vehicle was abandoned at 1505 Old Kings Rd.. An extensive search was conducted of the surrounding neighborhood and juveniles D1, D2, and D3 were apprehended without incident. D1, D2, and D3 were charged with grand theft auto and resisting arrest without violence. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a purse stolen from a vehicle in Ormond Beach (See case # OB180900211 and OB180900212).
R1 and R2 advised they were parked at the 2300 BLK of Old Dixie HWY and were in the back seat of their vehicle when they observed a dark SUV of unknown make or model parked in the middle of the road. R1 noticed a male was walking in their direction and was holding a Glock firearm at his side. R1 yelled at R2 to keep her head down as he jumped into the driver's seat and started driving north on Old Dixie HWY. R1 stated he saw the SUV make a u-turn and start following him. R1 said he started speeding to get away and noticed the SUV was catching him as they drove at speeds up to 115 mph. R1 advised he turned east on Walter Boardman Lane and continued to evade the subject at a high rate of speed. R1 said that while driving he heard two shots fired and continued to drive then turned onto Highbridge Road. R1 stated somewhere on Highbridge he noticed the SUV was no longer following him and did not see where it went. R1 stopped at Ocean Shore Blvd. and waited for a deputy to make contact. A search of the surrounding area yielded negative results for the dark colored SUV. No injuries or damage reported .

V1 reported he was partying at the above location with two unknown males. At some point, V1 agreed to allow the males to take his vehicle to the Race Track gas station across the street to purchase more alcohol, with the agreement they would come right back to the motel. The males never returned and the current whereabouts of V1's vehicle are unknown. V1 requested to report the vehicle stolen and wishes to prosecute those involved, if identified.
**A person of interest is listed in the report, however, V1 failed to positively ID the subject in a photo line-up.**

V1 advised her granddaughter dropped a blue iPOD Touch (w/teal case and headphones) in the driveway of V1's residence on 08/08/18. When V1 arrived home later that day, she was approached by an unknown male who advised her he had found the iPOD and placed it in her mailbox. V1 advised she failed to retrieve the iPOD at that time. It was later found to be missing from the mailbox. Today, V1 was approached by a neighbor (1241 Kilgore) who claimed he has video of a white male stealing the iPOD from V1's mailbox. Due to this new information, V1 now wishes to report the iPOD stolen and prosecute the male responsible if he is identified. Case active to Deputy Erlandson.

V1 reported sometime between 07/08/18 and today, someone stole several items from an unsecured shed on the property while she was in jail. V1 alleges the items consisted of various tools, electronics, roof panels and cash. Case active to Deputy Wagers.

V1 (87 YOA) was found by his daughter, N1, unresponsive on his bed at their residence. Volusia County Fire/Rescue personnel responded and pronounced V1 deceased. V1 suffered from several health ailments. Deputies found nothing suspicious surrounding the death. V1 did not have an attending physician. The Medical Examiner's Office declined jurisdiction. V1 was released to a funeral home.

D1 found evidence of infidelity on her live-in boyfriend's cell phone, V1, and confronted him about it. An argument ensued, which turned physical when D1 intentionally struck V1 in the chest with the cell phone. No injuries were noted. V1 was charged with simple battery/DV and transported to jail.

O1 and S1 were coming back from Ocala, where they were picking up V1 and W1. On the way back, S1 became upset with V1 and struck him while in the vehicle. S1 also grabbed V1 by the neck. V1 had minor visible injuries. S1 is dating O1 and does not live with O1. W1 confirmed V1's account of the incident. Contact was made with V1's father who advised he wished to pursue charges. S1 and O1 do not have a permanent address and per family members are both narcotics users. Efforts to locate S1 at his last known addresses were unsuccessful. A pass on affidavit for child abuse was completed on S1. Report sent to DCF.

CST observed a stolen vehicle (2016 Dodge Dart) parked in the parking lot at 1101 Derbyshire Rd. Deputies surrounded the vehicle and made contact with the front seat driver, Jennifer Regester who had the car keys in her front pocket. Regester was also on felony probation in reference to narcotics. Regester was arrested for grand theft of a motor vehicle and VOP and transported to VCBJ. Universal towing took possession of the vehicle and it was removed from FCIC/NCIC

Ormond PD had a fleeing motorcycle in the area of Fleming / Collins. Ormond PD did not pursue, however they soon located the motorcycle abandoned in the 900 block of Hand Avenue. Ormond PD and VCSO set up a perimeter and Deputy Whitson and K-9 Endo assisted with a track. K-9 Endo located and apprehended the suspect, Ryan Athey in the front/side yard of 414 Collins St. Ormond PD arrested Athey for Fleeing/Eluding, possession of meth and other charges. VCSO arrested Athey for resisting. Athey was turned over to Ormond PD. The watch commander was notified.

CST was leaving the jail when they observed a felony vehicle on ISB. A stop was attempted at ISB / Indigo Dr, however the driver fled. Stop sticks were deployed which were successful. The vehicle fled northbound on 95 and VCSO broke it down. Deputies and Ormond PD responded to the 95 exits to look for the vehicle. The vehicle got off at SR40, then traveled to Airport Rd. VCSO and Ormond set up sticks near Airport Rd and US1. Ormond PD utilized stop sticks, which were successful and the vehicle ended up striking one of their unoccupied patrol cars. The driver, Michelle Wallace was taken into custody. Additional charges are pending from multiple municipal agencies as they also have charges against the driver from past incidents. The watch commander was on scene.

V1 advised a neighbor called her on 09/08/18 and told her there was a vehicle in front of the residence. V1 contacted the Sheriff's Office and upon arrival deputies discovered D1 inside the residence. D1 advised she had gained access to the residence by climbing through an unlocked window. D1 was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a residence. O1 was discovered sitting in D1's vehicle in the driveway and it was determined he was unaware of D1's intentions and was not involved. O1 was released from the scene.
V1 was reported as a missing suicidal person by Daytona Beach Police Department. V1 was located by Air 1 in the woods off of Gopher Ridge Rd.. Deputies were airlifted by Air 1 to her location and she was taken into protective custody. V1 was subsequently transported to ACT in Daytona Beach and turned over to Daytona Beach Police Department. V1's vehicle was recovered by Universal towing and held for proof of ownership.

While at the jail, inmate, D1, attacked corrections officers, V1 and V2. D1 punched V1 and kicked V2 in the groin. Video surveillance of the incident will be available at a later time. D1 was arrested for two counts of felony battery on corrections officers.

Beach Patrol was flagged down in reference to a sexual battery which occurred on the beach. V1 advised she was beaten and sexually battered by a male suspect. On call CID responded to assume the investigation. The Watch Commander was notified.
Deputies responded to the location at the request of DCF. There were allegations that V1 and V2 were sexually battered by a known suspect. DCF removed the children from the residence. CID responded to the scene to further the investigation. The Watch Commander was notified.
District 3 CST observed a black Volkswagen passenger car traveling southbound on Vine Street from 6th Street, in Daytona Beach. CST attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle fled. Air 1 was overhead and provided updates on the vehicle's location as CST deputies positioned in the area with Stop-Sticks. As the vehicle fled southbound on White Street, CST deployed Stop-Sticks and successfully deflated one of the vehicle's tires. The vehicle continued to flee and eventually pulled behind a residence at 1308 Ginsburg Drive, Daytona Beach. The driver, D1, and front seat passenger, D2, bailed from the vehicle and proceeded into a wooded area on foot. CST entered the wooded area and took D1 and D2 into custody without further incident. Inside the vehicle, CST located a loaded firearm, several Oxycodone pills, and cannabis. D1 was arrested for fleeing/eluding LEO, carrying a concealed firearm, resisting arrest, possession of Oxycodone, and possession of cannabis. D2 was charged with resisting arrest. D2 was also arrested on an active Volusia County warrant for sending written threats to kill, simple battery, and harassing telephone calls. The Watch Commander was notified.

V1 reported his power went off at his residence so he went outside to check the power box. At this time, D1 (who lives in a small residence on the same property), exited his residence and pointed a small handgun at V1. V1 stated D1 was clearly intoxicated and V1 was in fear for his life. The incident was witnessed by V1's daughter. Both described the handgun as a small silver revolver. D1 allowed deputies to view the gun which matched the description provided by V1 and W1. D1 made several unsolicited racial comments in the presence of the deputies and claimed to be a member of the KKK. D1 was arrested by Deputy Ledoux for Aggravated Assault.
An off-duty Daytona officer observed an altercation between V1 and D1 outside the listed location, during which D1 grabbed V1 by the shoulders and started to aggressively shake her. The officer intervened, at which time V1 advised D1 had also punched her in the face. Deputy Erlandson responded and D1 was arrested for simple battery (DV). D1 had a previous conviction for battery so the charge was upgraded to a felony.

Deputy Bowen responded to 164 Laurie Drive Ormond by the Sea in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Contact was made with V-1, who advised she exited her residence around 1230-hrs, on this date and discovered both passenger side tires were flat. The vehicle was last known to be undamaged around 1900-hrs, on 09-05-2018. V-1 advised there have been issues with a couple of neighbors, but she couldn't specifically connect them to this incident. Deputy Bowen observed obvious puncture damage on both passenger side tires.

Deputies responded to the Aquarius Condos, Unit 404, and contacted N-1, who advised her 97-year-old mother, V-1, was deceased. N-1 said she arrived at her mother's house to check on her and found the newspaper was outside and the door was locked from the inside with a locking bar. She asked the management to cut the locking bar and went inside, where she discovered V-1 deceased. N-1 said she last spoke to V-1 on Wednesday, 09-05-2018. Deputy Cowger conducted an investigation and found no sign of foul play. V-1's physician was contacted and agreed to sign the death certificate. V-1 was later removed from the scene and the residence was secured.

V2 is the maintenance tech at V1. V2 advised two pressure washers and a compressor were stolen from a gated area that is located in the secure parking garage at V1.

R1 reported his girlfriend, V1, was upset due to a pending breakup. R1 stated V1 put a gun to her head and then fired off two rounds in the air. V1 left the scene and was traffic stopped. V1 was contacted and secured. A loaded firearm was located in the vehicle, which had two spent rounds, confirming R1's accounts. V1 initially stated she did not fire the gun but then confirmed she did. She was placed under the Baker Act and transported to the hospital. The area was checked and no injured bystanders were located.
V1 responded to the dist office to report she is being cyber-stalked by S1. V1 originally attempted to report the incident to OBPD but they declined jurisdiction, believing V1 lived in the county area. Once the deputy on scene took the report, it was later determined V1 lived in the city's jurisdiction. V1 reported for several months she has received messages from who she believed to be S1, a childhood friend. The messages were threatening in nature. All efforts to make contact with S1 were unsuccessful. An affidavit for cyber-stalking was completed. (Due to V1 living in the city jurisdiction, a copy of the report was sent to OBPD).

R1 advised he discovered a gas cap missing off a John Deere 7130 Tractor (Volusia County Property # 174859) that had been parked at the 2000 Block of Hand Ave. in Holly Hill, and approximately 40 gallons of diesel fuel missing from the fuel tank. R1 advised he also discovered approximately 25 gallons of diesel fuel missing from a John Deere 5100 M Tractor (Volusia County Property # 194200) parked next to the other tractor. R1 advised the tractors were last observed on 08/30/18 and were not checked again until 09/04/18.

A traffic stop was conducted on a white 2000 Buick bearing FL tag # IZZN55 at the corner of Ave. F and Palm Ave.. Upon approaching the vehicle, a strong odor of cannabis was detected emanating from the interior of the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded approximately 36.9 grams of cannabis. D1 was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis. D2 was charged with possession under 20 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. D2 was also charged with violation of probation in reference to the new law violations.
