The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a shooting in Deltona Tuesday morning that clamed the lives of three adults. Deputies were dispatched to 2507 Otis Ave. after a neighbor called 911 at 6:34 a.m. to report hearing the sound of gunfire.
The shooting occurred outside of the home. A man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Another man at the scene sustained a gunshot wound and was alive when deputies arrived. The wounded man, who is believed to be the shooter, was transported by EVAC ambulance to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, where he was pronounced dead.
Update 1 - 10:00 a.m.
The victims from this morning’s shooting in Deltona include a husband and wife, who died at the scene. The man who was pronounced dead at the hospital and who is believed to be the shooter was a former boyfriend of the female victim. He showed up at the married couple’s house and shot the female while she was sitting in a car in the couple’s driveway. The husband then came to the front door and was shot dead in the doorway. The shooter then turned the gun on himself while in the front yard. Two semi-automatic pistols were found at the scene.

The victims from today’s shooting have been identified as follows:

● Robin Whitaker, age 46

The Volusia County Medical Examiner’s Office has taken possession of the bodies and is scheduled to conduct autopsies on Wednesday to confirm the cause of death.
