12 ARRESTED IN DAYTONA BEACH DRUG BUST

A 16-year-old boy was among a dozen people arrested Thursday during an undercover narcotics operation targeting street-level cocaine dealers in the Daytona Beach area. Called a buy-bust operation, Thursday’s sting involved undercover narcotics agents who negotiated drug buys from street dealers at several locations in the city where citizens have complained about narcotics activity. Once the deals were completed, agents gave the signal for the takedown team to move in. The operation was spearheaded by the Daytona Beach Police Department in conjunction with the Northeast Narcotics Task Force.
