VCSO INVESTIGATING ARMED HOME INVASION IN DELTONA

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed home invasion that occurred late Sunday in Deltona.

Around 10:36 p.m., deputies responded to 142 Lullwater Street, where the victim, a 34-year-old man, said three male suspects forced their way into his home after he answered a knock at a rear door.

The victim said one of the suspects pistol-whipped him on the head and demanded money. The victim’s wife and children were ordered into a bedroom; they were unharmed. The suspects escaped with a TV, jewelry and cash.

The victim was treated on scene for an abrasion to his head, but there were no other injuries. Detectives are actively investigating this case and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
