V-1 advised she took 10-18 Adavan tablets because she was depressed. V1 was Baker Acted and transported by EVAC to Florida Hospital in Deland. She will be transported after medical clearance to ACT. District 2 supervisor notified.
V-1 Deborah Simon (44yoa) reported sometime between 0830 and 1530 hours on today's date, unknown person(s) entered her residence by breaking the rear south side window. After entry, an I-Pod, X-Box 360 w/ controller and several video games were taken. Case is active.
V-1 Oliver Honan (41yoa) reported sometime between 2100-2119 hours this date, unknown person(s) removed his drag behind grader that was located near this location. The grader is a metal homemade fabricated item. V1 Honan noticed a dark in color Ford F150 pickup containing the grader in the bed of the truck during this timeframe. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle at this time.
John Hadden (V1) advised he allowed (S1) and (S2) to stay at his residence while he was away. When Hadden (V1) returned home he found his 1999 Ford pickup missing. When Hadden asked (S1) about it he told him it was getting fixed and would be done by 05/21/2013. (S1) and (S2) left the residence and haven't been seen since. Hadden also had Calloway golf clubs stolen which (S2) pawned in Deland.
Phillip Lomness (V1) stated he bought a trailer from (O1). Lomness stated he left the trailer at O1's residence and attempted several times to pick it up. Lomness stated he tried several times to contact (O1) who has not returned his phone calls. (O1) was evicted from the property and there are no trailers there.
John Flynn (D1) and Britton Huggins (D2) were arrested after they broke into two sheds at 1401 20th st.
Edna May Mercer, 91 years old, became unresonsive while in Debary Manor. She was pronounced deceased at Florida Hospital in Orange City. Her death was determined to be natural and next of kin has not been notified.
D1 was arrested for punching her boyfriend in the chest.
Orange City Parks personnel reported that between 2100 on 5/20/13 and 0800 on 5/21/13 person(s) unknown set a garbage can full of trash on fire inside the public rest rooms causing burn marks on the walls, and smoke/soot damage to the bathrooms and storage room. The case was taken over by the State Fire Marshall's Office.
Victim reported that between 1130 on 5/17/13 and 1121 on 5/21/13 someone forced entry to her house by breaking a rear window. A security system alarm box inside the house was torn off the wall. Clothing and food found inside the house made it appear that someone had been squatting in the house. No witnesses/suspects.
An adult male was baker acted from this residence after he threatend to commit suicide.
D1 was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend with a handgun.
***JUVENILE*** D1, (16) of Orange City, was arrested on a warrant (Case #13-13775) for F.T.A./possession of narcotics. He fled on foot prior to arrest, and was subsequently apprehended for resisting without violence. A search revealed him to be in possession of under 20g. of marijuana. He was taken to DJJ on all of the charges.
D-1 Lilia Caspedes (54yoa) the landlord, and D-2 Mark Elugardo (47yoa) the tenant, were involved in a verbal argument which led to a physical altercation inside the residence. Witnesses reported D1 Caspedes slapped D2 Elugardo. Instead of retreating, D2 Elugardo then became the aggressor and pushed D1 Caspedes by the neck into a wall and then held her arms down. Both were taken into custody for Battery and were transported to the VCBJ without incident.
V1 got into a physical altercation with his live-in boyfriend, D1. D1 grabbed V1 by the throat until he could not breath. V1 stated he got away from D1 when D1 went outside. V1 then went outside and D1 started punching him about the face and body. D1 received several contusions and red marks on his face and neck. D1 was arrest and transported to VCBJ.
Shirley Adams (R1) reported her 18 year old son, Martin Medlong (V1), missing. Adams advised Medlong is autistic. Medlong was baker acted a few days ago and met a female while at Act. When Medlong was released so was the female, Jennifer Feagley (O1). Adams stated Medlong brought her to their residence and she told him she could not stay. Medlong told Adams if Feagley could not stay then he was leaving with her.
V-1 Elaine Pawlak (69yoa) reported sometime between 1640 until 1805 hours on today's date, unknown person(s) broke the rear sliding glass door to make entry to the residence. After entry, several pieces of jewelry were taken from the master bedroom. Exit was also through the sliding glass door and south then west along the power lines. Case is Active.
V-1 Jody Mulroney (51yoa) reported sometime between 1500 hours and 1845 hours today, unknown person(s) entered her unsecure rear patio door. After entry, a Compaq laptop (unknown serial number) was taken from the kitchen counter. Case is active.
V-1 Earl Mewhorter Jr. (50yoa) reported sometime between 1700 hours on 05/17/2013 and 0105 hours on 05/19/2013, unknown person(s) entered his north rear window by removing the Florida jalousie window slats. After entry, a gold chain and a Dale Earnhart watch were taken. Case is active.
(V1) was taken into custody under the baker act when she told deputies she wanted to kill herself.
V-1 Peter Yates (57yoa) reported sometime between 1700 hours on 05/15/2013 and 1700 on 05/17/2013, unknown person(s) entered his residence through an open rear sliding glass door. After entry, four antique jade sculptures and V1 Fisher's coin collection were taken. Case is active.
(R1), DCF case worker, reported Keith Thomas (D1) was physically abusing a 7-week-old child. Thomas would violently shake the child to get him to stop crying. Thomas also shoved a pacifier in the child's mouth until he gagged. Thomas was arrested for child abuse.
Paula Wilcox (V1) reported that unknown person(s) entered her residence by breaking the rear window open. Jewelry was taken from the residence.
Wilbur Matson (V1) reported that an unknown person(s) entered his residence by breaking out the window on the rear door. The suspect(s) took several old watches.
Peggy Brown (v1) stated unknown person(s) entered her residence by kicking in the front door and stole several items. A witness advised two black males driving a Cadillac DeVille backed in to the driveway. One of the black males kicked the front door open and loaded the car trunk. The suspects then fled the scene.
D-1 Matthew Fakess (31yoa) was arrested for Burglary to a Structure after being positively identified by a witness. A window was removed to gain entry. The alarm was set off and D1 Fakess and another unknown subject fled the scene. D1 Fakess was later detained by deputies for a show up at 89 S. Charles R. Beall Bv. After positive identification, D1 Fakess was transported to the District 6 office and then later to the VCBJ without incident.

Victim reported that between 0145 and 0200 hours of 5/16/13 someone attempted to force entry to her residence at 132 Floridana Rd. Victim was alerted by her dog barking but did not discover the attempt until daylight. The screen on her rear patio was cut near the door latch. Victim believes the dog scared away the person involved before entry was made.
***Juvenile**** D1, 16, was taken into custody after being stopped and found in possession of under 20g of marijuana. He was turned over to his grandmother with a court date.
James Berry, 37 of DeBary, arrested for DUI with Property Damage after a crash at 400 S. Charles R. Beall Blvd. Berry appeared to be under the influence of drugs, and stated he had taken prescribed morphine. Urine results are pending. Bond was $1000.
Fason Garnett Nesbitt, 24 years-old, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation if reference to an attempted purchase of a controlled substance.
Victim reported that between 0915 and 1048 hours on 5/15/13 someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet containing credit cards. No forced entry was evident. One of her credit cards was then used at Kangaroo store in DeBary. No witnesses/suspects.
Victim reported that between 1400 on 5/14/13 and 1200 on 5/15/13 someone stole the outside air conditioning unit from her house at 1599 20th St. No witnesses/suspects.
V-1 Lorinda Saunders (54yoa) reported sometime between 0638 hours and 1655 hours today, unknown person(s) entered her residence by removing the hinges to the kitchen door on the north side of the residence. After entry, jewelry from V1 Saunders bedroom was taken. V1 Saunders is making a list of the items taken. Case is active.
XX Juvenile XX V-1 reported her daughter, D-1, pushed her and held her arms down to keep her from leaving. D1 was taken into custody for Simple Battery/Domestic Violence. After DJJ intake was contacted, D1 was released and signed over to her mother, V1 without incident.
Thersa Spaid (V1) was reported missing after she did not return after she left the above location with Harry Marrison (O1), her boyfriend. Spaid was battered by Marrison on 05/12/2013 in DeLand (VCSO 13-13011). Spaid was supposed to have breakfast with Marrison on 05/13/2013 at McDonsald's in DeLand. The last time she was seen was around 0830 hours on the 13th. Spaid's son stated he spoke with her on 05/14/2013 and she was still with Marrison in a wooded area off of Hwy 92 in Deland. Deputies and Air 1 searched the area and met with negative results. Sapid was entered into FCIC/NCIC as missing endangered.
XX Juvenile XX V-1 Michael Sutherland (16yoa) was recovered safe and unharmed at his residence. He had been missing since 0545 this morning. The habitual runaway was removed from NCIC/FCIC as missing.
R-1 Connie Golden (49yoa) reported her son, V-1 Michael Sutherland (16yoa), has been missing since 0545 this morning. The habitual runaway was entered into NCIC/FCIC as missing. Nightshift units will attempt to locate V1 Sutherland throughout the evening. Case active.
Sonya Lock (D1) was arrested for DWLS and transported to VCBJ.
D1 was arrested for battering his live-in girlfriend.
Victim stated between 5/9/13 at 1700 and 5/12/13 at 1200 hours person(s) unknown forced entry to her house via rear sliding door and removed copper wiring from the appliances. No witnesses/suspects.
Estelle Kulow, 88, passed away at her residence. No signs of foul play. Her physician will sign the death certificate. Next of kin were present.
Shaval S. Miller, 25 years old, was arrested for abandoning two children. Deputies responded to Miller possibly being in her ex-boyfriend's home without permission. Deputy discovered the two children (9 and 4 years old) inside the home alone. The front door of the residence/trailer was padlocked from the outside. The children were taken into protective custody and turned over to DCF. Miller was located and arrested later in the evening.
D1 was arrested for battering his girlfriend during an argument in a vehicle as they were traveling home.
Ruth Ricker, 90, was transported from DeBary Manor Nursing Home to Fish Memorial Orange City in full arrest. She was pronounced dead at 1419 hours. Her attending physician will sign the death certificate. Next of kin were notified, and Altman-Long Funeral Home was used per their request.
Spencer Doolittle, 26 of DeBary, arrested for V.O.P./Grand Theft and Dealing is Stolen Property. No bond.
James E Brown was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation, no bond.
Victim reported that on 5/10/13 between 1330 and 1430 hours person(s) unknown forced entry to her residence and stole jewelry valued at $10,000. Entry was gained by breaking a front door glass pane. No suspects at this time.
Jermaine Casey, 23 of Sanford, was arrested for DWLSR after being stopped for obscured tag and illegal window tint. Bond was $500. He was also charged with Violation of Probation after he was found to be on probation for armed robbery with a firearm/deadly weapon under case #13-12798. No bond on the V.O.P.
D-1 Ryan McNeil (34yoa) became involved in an argument with V-1 William Compton Jr. (63yoa). As the argument escalated, D1 McNeil armed himself with a tire iron and threatened V1 Compton with it. The tire iron and photographs were collected and placed into evidence. D1 McNeil was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault and transported to the VCBJ without incident.
Deputies responded to an alarm call that was later found to be a burglary to the business. An unidentified suspect broke the front window to the business and entered and removed several packs of cigarettes and an eighteen pack of beer. Exit was through the same window. An investigation is ongoing to determine the suspect and his whereabouts. V-1 Chirag Patel arrived to secure the business. K-9 and Air One also responded to the area. Case is Active.
V1 was taken into protective custody for an Ex Parte for Involuntary Assessment signed by Judge Will. He was transported to ACT for examination without incident.
D-1 Christina Rodriguez (23yoa) was observed Driving with a Suspended Drivers License after being given a criminal traffic citation for the same offence minutes earlier. D1 Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the VCBJ without incident.
Joseph Rossi (V1) reported unknown person stole his motorcycle from the bed of his pickup during the night hours. The motorcycle was later located at Eagle's Nest park, about a block away from Rossi's residence.
Todd Weaver (V1) reported unknown person broke into his shed and stole two four-wheelers and tool. The suspect pushed the four-wheelers out and was unable to start one of them. One of the four-wheelers was located across the street in the wood line.
Mark Welch (D1) was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia as well as VOP.
Kevin Mercadel (D1) was arrested for DWLS and transported to VCBJ.
